Sam joined Flaherty McCarthy LLP after completing his articling term with the firm. He enjoys providing clients with a level of genuine attentiveness to their interests and is a committed and passionate advocate. His range of experience in civil litigation includes advocating in medical negligence, mental health, motor vehicle and boating accident tort, statutory accident benefits and various other personal injury matters. Sam has appeared before the Licence Appeal Tribunal, Ontario Small Claims Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Appeal.
Sam earned an Honours in Political Studies at Queen’s University, Kingston in 2013 and graduated with a Juris Doctor from Bond University, Australia in 2017. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.
Sam lives in Kingston, Ontario. He is a member of the City of Kingston’s Planning Advisory Committee. He is also a volunteer with the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
